The Emperor has no clothes

I am starting to get fed up with people that say that Kerry is so much more patriotic than Bush, or that his military record trumps that of Bush's.

Do the media decided on purpose to no tell that Kerry did not volunteers for military duty? He applied for deferment 4 times, and got it on all four and the fifth time he joined the Naval reserve hoping never to be called up.

Bush? Well he volunteered for the army reserve during the Vietnam conflict, went through extensive training to qualify to fly jets only never to called up.

Do we realize the Kerry spent 10 weeks in Nam, yep ten weeks. I think most had one and two year duties over there.....How does that happen?

from www.briantracy.com

Kerry proudly boasts that he won five medals in 10 weeks of active duty (a record!). He received a Silver Star, a Bronze Star, and three Purple Hearts. But for what?

His Silver Star was awarded when he supposedly ran his boat ashore, jumped out and ran down a Vietcong soldier, killing him and capturing his rocket-propelled grenade.

Later it turned out that another Swift Boat officer had run his boat ashore earlier and had already shot the VC soldier. Kerry arrived after all danger was past, followed the blood trail of the wounded soldier, and then shot him, probably in the back. No one knows for sure, and Kerry has never told anyone what actually happened. He was the only witness. Kerry then wrote up the Action Report, putting himself in for a medal, which he eventually received.

Two of his Purple Hearts were clearly bogus. They were self-inflicted wounds. There was no enemy fire at the time (the minimum requirement for a Purple Heart). Max Cleland, ex-senator from Georgia, lost two legs and an arm in Vietnam, but did not receive a single Purple Heart, because his wounds were not suffered in combat.

Kerry’s first Purple Heart came from a tiny, band aid-sized shrapnel wound that he got when he fired a grenade at the riverbank. He was too close and a fragment of the grenade hit his arm. He immediately put himself in for a Purple Heart and was refused. Somehow, and these records are still classified, he got the medal anyway.

His second Purple Heart was awarded, again at his request, after he had dropped a grenade in a store of rice and failed to get away fast enough. As a result, he got rice fragments in his backside that had to be removed with tweezers. His third Purple Heart was awarded under similar circumstances.

Kerry’s Bronze Star, for pulling a man out of the river, was another bogus award. Here is what happened: Five Swift Boats were moving up the river together. One of them hit a mine. Kerry’s boat took off, fleeing to the far side of the river. The other Swift Boats stayed to help the damaged Swift Boat and its crew. The machine gunners in the boat sprayed the bank to discourage any enemy fire. When their fire was not returned, they stopped shooting. When Kerry saw that there was no enemy fire, no danger, he sped back from where he had fled, and grabbed Rasmussen out of the water. At no time was anyone in any danger.

After this incident, Kerry again wrote up the Action Report and recommended himself for a Bronze Star, even though there was no enemy fire at any time, according to all the crews of all the other Swift Boats, except for Kerry’s, which had fled the area when the mine exploded.

As soon as Kerry was given his third Purple Heart, he immediately applied to be discharged from service in Vietnam, and was promptly sent home. He bailed out on his “band of brothers” without hesitation, leaving them to serve out their full year in combat.

If you doubt this version of events, there is a simple way to refute the statements made above. Just have John Kerry authorize the release of the approximately 94 pages of documents in his file at the Navy Department. These papers will clarify everything. But John Kerry must authorize their release. This is something he adamantly refuses to do. I wonder why?

When Colonel Oliver North was offered his third Purple Heart for wounds suffered in combat in Vietnam, he refused to accept it. He preferred rather to stay with his men until the end of their tour of combat together.

As soon as Kerry got back to the US, he immediately turned on his “band of brothers,” accusing them of war crimes and atrocities they had never committed, and which he had never seen.

Kerry is a son of privilege, never having worked a day in his life. He is fabulously wealthy as a result of money from his parents and his two wives. He has at least four homes, multiple vehicles, a private jet and a life of luxury that few can imagine.

Regarding his so-called “patriotism,” this is bogus as well. A patriot is someone who loves and believes in the goodness of his country. From Kerry’s first anti-war statements, throughout his 18-year career in the Senate, he has voted against every American weapons system, against the first Gulf War, against the funding of the current Iraq war, and against the funding of our intelligence agencies. He opposed the Stealth Bomber and the Abrams M-1 Tank. He opposed funding for Kevlar Vests for our soldiers. He has supported every tax increase and regulation on business that has ever been proposed. He has expressed continual disdain for America and American values of self-reliance, self-responsibility, and military strength in a dangerous world. Call it whatever you like, this is not patriotism.

His running mate, John Edwards is an embarrassment to every honest American. He is supposedly worth $70 million dollars today, most of it coming from bogus lawsuits that have ruined the careers of doctors, bankrupted hospitals and clinics, and driven malpractice insurance costs so high that doctors have quit or moved away.

Edwards pursued these fraudulent lawsuits with full knowledge that they were based on false claims. Every bit of independent medical research proves that there is no relationship between cerebral palsy in children and the reluctance of doctors to perform Caesarian deliveries that he claimed would have saved the children from the cerebral palsy that they later developed. It turns out that cerebral palsy is a genetic problem that is inherent in the child from shortly after conception in the womb.

These two men are the chief exponents today of the “something for nothing” virus that is corrupting American society. Kerry is attempting to be a “hero for nothing,” never having been in harm’s way, and never having stayed overnight in a hospital for his wounds. Edwards is fabulously wealthy, never having done anything worthwhile for others, except to extort money by exploiting a tort system that is out of control.

Their political platform is a series of “something for nothing” proposals. They want “Peace for Nothing,” “Medicare Benefits for Nothing,” “Increased expenditures and government give-aways for all” — for nothing.

Giving these people power would be like giving teenage boys car keys and whiskey.
America is a great country, the best in all of history. The United States is still “The shining city on the hill” for people all over the world who want to come here. The American dream is still alive and well, and available to us and our children, if we will work for it, and fight for it.

On November 2nd we must once again exercise our right to vote to choose American values, American strength and American leadership as our guiding light for the years ahead.

Unfortunately, Kerry and Edwards would lead us not toward the lights of freedom and prosperity, but back toward the darkness of class warfare, American weakness and national irresolution in the great challenges that we must face, and face down, in the years to come.

HOOORAAAYYY!!!

My kitty came back tonight, I seriously thought he was gone forever. But as we sat down to watch tv I heard his meow from the back window. He was wet, skinny, smelly but after feeding him and giving him a bath (which he hated of course) he is meowing once again through our house. Dominic even cried.

The irony of changing roles

Interestingly enough I still get nervous going into the grade school. I know it isn't the one I went to but it is the same set up. The old, musty smell, with the ceiling that is too low in the cafeteria. The class rooms where the windows don't open up far enough to really do any good.

Dominics teachers are very nice and really have a good system going, but since this was our first meeting with them you are always kinda wondering where he is at....Not like I had any worry really.

Well how smart is he...We he is pretty normal. He excels in reading and spelling....They are blown away by some of the words he uses and tries to spell. He is a very detailed drawer and writer, they love that about him.

Now the part where he needs some help.....Math....Ugh!

Now what they are saying is that he is such a perfectionist that he is skiddish about starting something new in math. Once he understands the process he is all gung ho and does great, above average work....It is just that first step. But it is that perfectionist side of him, if he doesn't understand how to do it he is afraid of making a mistake.

but they are teaching him rather than telling him, they believe in learning systems, and patterns which he can apply instead of memorizing.

I am very proud of him he is a thoughtful, sensitive, funny little man.

Oh yea they are predicting he will be a weatherman!

OH OH OPRAH!

Did anyone else hear about the 70-yr old woman who died while waiting for ticket for the Oprah show? No there is no controversy here other than that she passed out and on her fall she hit her head on the cement curb which caused as a brain hemorrhage.

Let me be the first to jump on this one since I was so good at the flu thing

It was George W. Bush's fault. When Kerry/Edwards is running this country we have a plan to implement Oprah's sidewalk with safety rated cushion curbs and oh yea Christopher Reeve will walk again......er......If he didn't die first.....Which, of course, is also Bush's fault.

Home Depot

I am a Home Depot whore! There really is no way around it, I love Home Depot.

I just go out there and walk around and look at all the things I want to do to my house but can't yet. I can easily spend over an hour just walking though, looking at flooring, paint, tools, bathroom sinks, and just about everything else they have there. Windows and doors, trim and the coolest thing is that they will tell you how to do it, rent you all the equipment and give you a kiss as you walk out the door.

I feel loved and accepted there, like......we know you are a complete idiot when it comes to working with tools and have no idea what to do with them....But that is why we love you.

I can even go out to the website and download videos on how to do the work I want...

All I know is that I need to ask bumby for a raise.......Unless dad got to him first.....fuck!

Nope he didn't change the channel like he normally does to cartoon network, he sat down and watched. so like a good father I told him that he could change the channel to cartoons......and he said

"dad, I like watching football"............

Baseball Class

Did anyone actually watch the Cardinals-Dodgers game 5 the other night? Because if you missed it, or didn't see the replays they created one of the best images in baseball history. After the Cardinals kicked the dodgers ass and won the series the teams convened on the field and shook hands..........Shook hands? The most pretensious, over ego'd son's of bitch's, actually shook hands.

Apparently it was Larry walker's idea (who plays for the cardinals)because he noticed that in every other sport where the teams kick the crap out of each other they shake hands after the game, walker being a huge hockey fan wanted to bring that to baseball. So in a sport that has the least amount of physical contact the least they could do is a hand shake..............Lets make sure we all tell the red sox-Yankee players.....Shall we?

On another note, Tommy has been acting up a little here. I think he is getting bored around the house. Yesterday he put fruit punch kool aid in the fish tank, and although it looks all cool and stuff the crab is not too happy. When asked why he did it? "I couldn't help myself" was his answer..............Paul calm down, pick your battles, breath, focus

So we are just going to get rid of the crab, he will hate that but he needs to know what the consequences are, and I hope he hates it. I think he is going to write a book later on about how I scared him for life........But he won't put kool aid in the fish tank again.

Presidental votes based on.......THE FLU!

So the other day I am talking to a buddy. We are talking about how it takes like 3 or 4 years for the flu vaccine to be produced, so the job of the drug companies is to try to predict how much is going to be needed. So what we will see is a shortage for the next couple of years until they can catch up on production....Then I said "yea will I bet Bush will get blamed for this too". It was off the cuff comment....

Flash too

AP – Elyria, OH: “The presidential candidates lobed charges at one another Saturday: President George W. Bush saying that his Democratic opponent "can run, but he can't hide;" and Sen. John Kerry accusing the Bush administration of knowing in advance about the flu vaccine shortage. Kerry accused the Bush administration of misleading Americans about the shortage of flu vaccine this season.”

Oh that is rich, that is out of this world...

So I was thinking of becoming a Democrat

But really I needed some guidence so, here are some guidelines to help with the process.

1. You have to believe the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal funding.

2. You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach 4th graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.

3. You have to believe that guns, in the hands of law-abiding Americans, are more of a threat than U.S.nuclear weapons technology in the hands of Chinese communists.

4. You have to believe that there was no art before Federal funding.

5. You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by cyclical, documented changes in the earth's climate, and more affected by yuppies driving SUVs.

6. You have to believe that gender roles are artificial but being homosexual is natural.

7. You have to be against capital punishment but support abortion on demand.

8. You have to believe that businesses create oppression and governments create prosperity.

9. You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but loony activists from Seattle do.

10. You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.

11. You have to believe the military, not corrupt politicians start wars.

12. You have to believe the NRA is bad, because it supports certain parts of the Constitution, while the ACLU is good, because it supports certain parts of the Constitution.

13. You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high.

14. You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are more important to American history than Thomas Jefferson, General Robert E. Lee or Thomas Edison.

15. You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides aren't.

16. You have to believe Hillary Clinton is really a lady.

17. You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried, is because the right people haven't been in charge.

18. You have to believe conservatives telling the truth belong in jail, but a liar and sex offender belongs in the White House.

19. You have to believe that homosexual parades displaying drag, transvestites and bestiality should be constitutionally protected and manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.

20. You have to believe that illegal Democratic party funding by the Chinese is somehow in the best interest of the United States.

~~~~~~~~~~
Vote Democratic... It's easier than getting a job.
Democrats Version of Tax Cuts
If you don't understand the Democrats' version of tax cuts (and you are not alone), this will explain it for you:
50,000 people go to a baseball game, but the game was rained out. A refund was then due. The team was about to mail refunds when the Congressional Democrats stopped them and suggested that they send out refund amounts based on the Democrat National Committee's interpretation of fairness.
After all, if the refunds were made based on the price each person paid for the tickets, most of the money would go to the wealthiest ticket holders. That would be unconscionable. The DNC plan says:
People in the $10 seats will get back $15, because they have less money to spend. Call it an "Earned" Income Ticket Credit". Persons "earn" it by demonstrating little ambition, few skills and poor work habits, thus keeping them at entry-level wages.
People in the $25 seats will get back $25, because that's only fair.
People in the $50 seats will get back $1, because they already make a lot of money and don't need a refund. If they can afford a $50 ticket, then they must not be paying enough taxes.
People in the $75 luxury seats will have to pay another $50, because they have way too much to spend.
The people driving by the stadium who couldn't afford to watch the game will get $10 each, even though they didn't pay anything in, because they need the most help.
Where oh where did my little kitty go?
Yep I think the day has come where squirt has finally disappeared. We haven't seen him in over 24 hours and he didn't come in last night. I am getting sad that he is gone, and more than likely gone forever. We made the decision that we would let him out because more than anything he has given us many wonderful years. He was really my first pet, got him in '92 and has been with us ever since. It is getting more and more sad because everytime I go into the kitchen I see his food, untouched just waiting for him to come back. I even slept very lightly last night thinking that I might here his little meow outside wanting in, but to no avail. The kids are even keeping a eye out when they play for him........But I think it might be the end to a wonderful life. Either he got adopted by another family because of his friendliness or he found someplace to die or worse.
