Goals
For the last couple of years I have sat down and started to think about goals for the new year in early december. This year
Jen said she would like to do this with me. What I found is that if I write down my goals for the new year, even if I don't look at them again for the rest of the year, when I take stock of what I accomplished for the year it is amazing to me what I accomplish in connection to what I wrote down. Wanna know some of the stuff I have written down and accomplished in the past?
bought our first home
purchased a mini-van
achieved a 3.5GPA in my classes (well not last semester, but I did do it)
Mp3 player
bought bicycles for jen and I (although they were cheap at a garage sale..oh and they need some work which I have not done yet)
got our first DVD Player
Achieved over 1/2 million in sales (well when I was employed)
wrote my first business plan
got a new laptop (well with some help of course)
and lastly went almost all wireless (this is sat. tv, cell phones, wireless home network)
There is more but they are more personal...and you can't read those.
now in my years studing sales, goals were one of the key components to success (obviously didn't work for me). So just writing them down isn't enough anymore, now we have to place why we want them....what is the connection to that goal. As an example, if I want to achieve a 4.0 GPA in school it isn't enough just to say that. Why do I want that, what is the connection to it. If I put cuz somebody else wants me to do it it is not a good goal.....make sense? If not tough shit!
When we are done with our goals I wil put a couple up here just so if anyone can help me achieve any of them you will informed.
Oh by the way.....if the packers actually had a defense this year our team would be hugely dangerous.
