Brat Days
Yes folks it is that time of year again and brat days is in full force.
Now Jenny and I have been back in Sheboygan for 6 years and have yet to go down to brat days. To tell you the truth I really have no desire to go, there is something biblically wrong with worshiping a food, let alone one that is greasy, fattening and when on a bun looks like A..................Football (oh come on folks let get our minds out of the gutter mmmmmmmmmkay?)
Since my older sister has decided to point out that I use the word "well" a lot.......
well, well, well let me tell you of the festivities that are going on that make brat days unique.
according to one brat days chairperson "brat days epitomizes who we are in Sheboygan and what we enjoy as a community"............Really well isn't that sad. I would write more but I am kinda depressed about that statement.
sounds of the festival:
we have the gin blossoms that played last night and get this, Vince Neil is playing tonight. Yes sir re bob the famous Vince Neil that rock us all to the core with such hits as "girls, girls, girls" and "Dr. Feelgood" has rocked to the top playing festivals like brat days.......Yea!
Also the Brat eating contest is taking place as I write this, winner last year ate 13 brats in a 1/2 hour and received...............A packet of brats (just what I want after puking up 13 brats) and a t-shirt. My only problem with this contest is that it would take me out of the running for being able to drink the most beer for the day. Lets face it, we need to be careful of the stomach and have our priorities straight on this wonderful day.
Also, since the PGA major is coming to town, I am sure that all visitors will be thoroughly appreciative the image brat days brings to Sheboygan and I can't wait to see that on the broadcast this week.
That all said, I am now craving a good old fashion brat with all the fixings.
