A Reluctant Santa Claus
She didn't realize it but
Margaret was going to be Santa on Christmas Eve. I thought this would be really cool for her since she got the same surprise when she was younger, but she seem reluctant at first.
"I have to put out the presents?"
"Umm...Yeah, and write a quick Santa note for them"
"Umm...No!"
"Come on it will be fun"
"I don't want to"
"I don't care"
Well she didn't have a choice in the matter, and she wasn't in the Christmas spirit apparently!
So Mom,
Dad,
Jenny, me and the boys all got in a car to go light watching...You know look at all the houses lit up in the neighborhood. Margaret then left by herself before us and came back early to set out all the presents, she played Santa and I told her she had to leave a note for the boys!
"
HO HO HO, MERRY CHRISTMAS! IT'S SANTA HERE, AND I HEARD YOU WERE GOING TO BE IN APPLETON FOR CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR...SO I MADE A DETOUR AND BROUGHT YOUR PRESENTS HERE EARLY! JUST FOR YOU!!
THE REINDEER WERE HAPPY TO HAVE SOME OF THE TREATS YOU LEFT OUT, AND THE CHRISTMAS COOKIES IN THE KITCHEN WERE DELICIOUS!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS DOMINIC AND TOMMY- SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!
LOVE SANTAYeah I know...Awesome huh, well both the boys loved it too and I am not sure she realized that she prolonged Dominic's belief in Santa by at least one more year. So thanks Margaret, your the best Aunt and sister the three of us boys could ever have....
