You know, there's like a butt-load of gangs at this school. This one gang kept wanting me to join because I'm pretty good with a bo staff. "Napoleon Dynamite"

A Soul Gone Home

There are people that come along in your life that just seem to fit right, in this case intergrate into our family seamlessly, where he became as much a part of the Andrews clan as any of us, only with the last name of Hollander.

What defines a man? Well in this case it was one that over time learned how to joke and laugh with the best of us, he needed to in order to survive family get togethers. He seemed to enjoy it. A man takes responsibility, does what is right, and lives with good grace and judgment and john did just that.

I remember playing basketball with John and trying to get a shot off over his 6'6" frame with the wing span what seemed like twice that, I think he started to feel bad for me because after a while he took it easy on me.

I remember him sitting back and watching as we would banter as a family, making fun of each other. His smile would tell you he was having fun, because after a while he gave it as well as he took it.

But the image that I will always remember him by will be looking up from the seats at Camp Randall Stadium and seeing him walking down the stairs toward us as we were waiting for him to show up.....It seemed like he always had a blanket under his arm.

So what I know is that every year on June 16th, I will think of John as a friend but more importantly as a brother that we lost way to early.

God Bless You John
