This is just plain stupid

Ever be promised vacation from a company and then they "trump" it with the "you haven't earned all those hours" excuse.

Ok here's the deal, Jen took a weeks vacation here next week and I knew that I had just over 3 days left on the books. I put in for my three days and got them denied. You want to know why? Because apparently you have to earn your 10 days vacation by putting in your time during the year. Meaning that for every month at work you earn just under a days vacation and since the year is not done I haven't earned the last of my three days. So really I don't get all my vacation until December 31st at which time I cannot roll them over.....fuckers!

What would happen if I just called in sick for three days, should I feel guilty?
