Much rejoicing
There is much rejoicing in weightlossville. Yep that is right weightlossville pop. 150,000,000. Those of us that have undertaken the undaunting task of trying to loose weight.
Background: graduated high school weighing 185lbs, and in shape.
after being at college for 9 months 235lbs. Yep that is right 235lbs. That was not the freshman 15 that people talk about that was out of control. That was 50lbs in 9 months or 5.5 lbs per month or 1.375 lbs per week. Now lets just say that I wasn't keeping up with any kind of exercise program but after the winter break I did start to exercise again and I couldn't stop it, so I gave up.
flash to January 1st of this year
I started to exercise again, and hard. Three to five times per week and lifted weights. I started to loose a little but over the last 8 months only about 10 lbs have come off....... FUCK!!!!!!!!
So my mom was shown to have a hypothyroid or a underactive thyroid, and I have had that suspicion for a while that this is what has been hindering me. I started to take some suppliments to deal with my thyroid last week and today went to the Y, worked out and weighted myself as I normally do. I thought to myself no expectations........I set the weight were I normally do 262, stepped up and.......wait less? ok how about 260, nope, 258, nope 257......holy shit. I haven't even been watching so much what I eat and I lost 5lbs in a week?.............well ok this is a good start
and there was much rejoicing in weightlossville!
